Once your application has been approved and your membership activated, you can access your membership benefits. A 30-day qualifying period applies before included repair entitlements can be used.
All memberships are subject to our terms and conditions, vehicle eligibility requirements and service limitations.
What's the difference between Bronze, Silver and Gold memberships?
Bronze Membership
Our entry-level membership provides exclusive discounts on eligible cosmetic vehicle repairs. Bronze members pay for repairs as required, with no included repair visits.
Silver Membership
Our recommended membership includes two cosmetic paint repair visits per membership year, covering up to three panels per visit.
Gold Membership
Our most comprehensive membership includes two cosmetic paint repair visits per membership year, covering up to three panels per visit, plus two alloy wheel refurbishment visits per year, with between one and four wheels per visit.
All three memberships offer priority booking and access to professional mobile cosmetic repair services, subject to availability, vehicle eligibility and membership terms and conditions.
Is there a waiting period before I can use my membership?
Yes. Silver and Gold memberships have a 30-day qualifying period starting from the date your membership becomes active.
During this period, included repair entitlements cannot be used.
Once the qualifying period has ended, you can request eligible repairs in accordance with your membership benefits, subject to availability, vehicle eligibility and our terms and conditions.
The qualifying period helps us maintain a fair and sustainable membership service for all members.
Can I join if my vehicle already has existing damage?
Yes, you may still be eligible to join Vehicle Appearance Group if your vehicle has existing cosmetic damage.
As part of the application process, we require clear photographs of your vehicle to assess its condition and identify any pre-existing damage.
Damage present before your membership begins is not covered by included repair entitlements, although separate repairs may be available at an additional cost.
All membership applications are subject to approval. Your membership will not become active until the required photographs have been received and your application has been accepted.
Providing accurate information and photographs helps us maintain a fair and transparent service for all members.
Can I cancel my Vehicle Appearance Group membership?
You can request to cancel your Vehicle Appearance Group membership at any time, provided you have not used any included repair entitlements.
If you have used an included repair entitlement, you are required to complete the 12-month membership commitment from your original membership start date.

All cancellations are subject to our Membership Agreement and any applicable statutory cancellation rights.

What is a SMART repair?
SMART stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technology. It’s a specialist method of repairing minor cosmetic vehicle damage without the need for extensive bodyshop work or replacing entire panels.
SMART repairs are commonly used to restore scratches, scuffs, minor dents and other cosmetic imperfections, using techniques that focus on repairing the affected area wherever possible.
Unlike traditional bodyshop repairs, SMART repairs can often be completed at your home or workplace, with many repairs finished within a single day.
This makes SMART repair a convenient and cost-effective way to maintain your vehicle’s appearance without the inconvenience of leaving your car at a bodyshop for several days.
At Vehicle Appearance Group, SMART repair techniques form the foundation of our cosmetic repair services, helping members keep their vehicles looking their best.
What types of vehicle damage can Vehicle Appearance Group repair?
Vehicle Appearance Group specialises in minor cosmetic vehicle repairs, helping members maintain their vehicles without the inconvenience of traditional bodyshop visits.
Depending on the type of damage and your chosen membership, our services may include:
Paint scratches and scuffs
Bumper scuffs and minor paint damage
Minor dents suitable for SMART repair
Cosmetic damage to body panels
Selected interior trim repairs
Alloy wheel refurbishment (Gold membership)
Our services are designed for cosmetic damage rather than major accident repairs. Structural damage, extensive bodywork and panel replacements are not included.
All repairs are subject to assessment, membership entitlements, vehicle eligibility and our Membership Agreement. Some damage may require alternative repair methods and may not be suitable for a SMART repair.
Do I need to be present while the repair is being carried out?
No, you don’t need to remain with your vehicle throughout the repair.
One of the benefits of our mobile SMART repair service is that you can carry on with your day while our technician works on your vehicle.
Whether you’re at home or at work, we simply ask that someone is available at the beginning of the appointment to provide access to the vehicle, discuss the repair and hand over the keys if required.
Once the repair is complete, our technician will arrange for the vehicle to be handed back to you or an authorised person.
All we require is a suitable, safe working location and access to the vehicle for the duration of the repair.
What do I need at my address for a repair to be carried out?
For our mobile SMART repair technicians to carry out work safely and professionally, we require a suitable working area at your home or workplace.
The following requirements must be met:
Off-road parking: A private driveway or suitable designated parking area with sufficient space to carry out repairs safely.
Access to electricity: A standard UK 230V plug socket must be available within a reasonable distance of the vehicle to power our equipment.
Adequate working space: Sufficient room for our technician, tools and equipment to operate safely around your vehicle.
Vehicle access: Your vehicle must remain accessible throughout the appointment.
Suitable weather conditions: Adverse weather or unsuitable temperatures may mean your appointment needs to be rearranged.
Our technicians bring the necessary tools, equipment and repair materials.
If you’re unsure whether your location is suitable, please contact us before booking so we can advise.
For safety reasons, repairs cannot be carried out on public roads or in locations where working conditions are unsuitable.
What is PDR (Paintless Dent Removal)?
PDR stands for Paintless Dent Removal. It’s a specialist technique used to remove minor dents and door dings without the need for filling or repainting, helping preserve your vehicle’s original paintwork.
PDR is suitable for certain dents where the paintwork remains intact. All repairs are subject to assessment, as not every dent can be repaired using this method.
How long does a SMART repair take?
Most SMART repairs can be completed within a single day, meaning you won’t usually need to be without your vehicle for an extended period.
The time required depends on the type, size and extent of the damage. Our technician will advise you of the expected repair duration when your appointment is arranged.
With our mobile service, repairs can be carried out at your home or workplace, allowing you to get on with your day.
Does Vehicle Appearance Group offer PDR?
Yes, Vehicle Appearance Group can arrange Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) through our specialist repair partners.
PDR is suitable for certain minor dents where the paintwork remains intact. All repairs are subject to assessment, availability and membership terms and conditions.
How do I book a repair through Vehicle Appearance Group?
Once your membership is active, you can contact Vehicle Appearance Group to request a repair.
We’ll ask for details and photographs of the damage so we can assess whether the repair is suitable and confirm your membership entitlements.
Once approved, we’ll arrange a convenient appointment at your home or workplace, subject to technician availability and suitable working conditions.
